Editorial design and publication development for Drupa Magazine — No.1 for Printing Technologies, 2024 edition, featuring “30 expert perspectives on print & packaging innovation.”
CONTEXT
The project involved the development of the magazine’s editorial layout system and contribution to the invited guest article “Designing for Generation Z: Does Print Matter?”, exploring the relevance of print media within the evolving digital landscape.
The publication required balancing editorial storytelling, typography and publication structure while maintaining a contemporary and accessible reading experience.
DESIGN APPROACH
The editorial direction focused on creating a clean and contemporary reading experience, balancing typography, rhythm and visual clarity to support both the written content and the publication’s editorial identity.
Special attention was given to hierarchy, composition and editorial pacing, creating a publication that combined visual sophistication with clear communication across both print and editorial content.
